An asteroid larger than the Empire State Building will come uncomfortably close to planet Earth next month.
Dubbed Asteroid 2000 QW7, it’s estimated to be between 1,000 – 2,100 feet in diameter, the size of some of the planet’s tallest buildings.
Fortunately, astronomers say QW7 will still be about 3 million miles away when it passes by on Sept. 14 and should pose no danger. Nevertheless, NASA says it will keep tracking the asteroid.
