A Ball State University economist says the latest national jobs figures show the United States economy has completed nine full years of expansion.
Michael Hicks says the U-S labor force grew by more than 600-thousand in June, which caused the unemployment rate to rise slightly to an even 4-percent. Hicks says numbers from the U-S Bureau of Labor Statistics indicate 220-thousand jobs were added last month and totals from the previous two months were also revised upward by another 35-thousand jobs nationwide.
